TheStar Warsprequels have become these very weird movies. As we head towards the 20th anniversary ofStar Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, I thought it would be a good idea to revisit the entire prequel trilogy. I genuinely thought that if they were allowed to just stand on their own, the movies may not be great, but they would at least be interesting and compelling on their own merits. Sadly, the films have not improved....

One of the big rallying cries forStar Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the 14-acreStar Wars-themed land at both Disneyland in California and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World in Florida, was that the land would be theonlyplace you could buy exclusive, Galaxy’s Edge-themed merchandise. Well, that isn’t exactly true anymore. Todayit was announced that Targetwould soon be carrying Galaxy’s Edge merchandise, including some of the things that you could previously only buy in the land, alongside exclusives for the retailer....

Even when the series was more focused on espionage than over-the-top spectacle,Mission: Impossiblecould always be relied on if you wanted to see some good action. The film series, that is. The TV series of the same name that began airing in 1966 was a little more low-key, though not without some sequences that would’ve been exciting by the standards of television at the time. The film series starringTom Cruise, on the other hand, eventually became known for spectacle, as well asCruise’s willingness to pull off daring stunts on screen....

It might seem like an odd choice for him to direct but, after initially stumbling out of the gate, it works magnificently....

I can’t stand these types of movies. The twenty-something friends meet again x-number of years later in their thirties to discover, shocker of all shockers, nothing is the same and you can’t relive your past. These movies tend to be steeped in nostalgic rose tinted hokum masquerading as insight - ‘cause man wasn’t the past just so gosh-darn dandy. They’re always insufferable and almost always star Jason Ritter. The first two-thirds ofKaryn Kusama’sThe Invitationnearly made me reconsider my innate distaste for this indie ‘Big-Chill’-wannabe subgenre....
