Last month, Netflixdropped a teaserfor one of its upcoming holiday movies,A Boy Called Christmas. Now, as we approach the November release date, the streamer revealed the official trailer for the adventure and fantasy film that is set to reveal how Christmas came to be. The story follows a boy that ventures into the North Pole in order to find his father and long-forgotten evidence that magic is real.A Boy Called Christmaswill premiere on November 24.

The new trailer features everything you’d expect from a Christmas movie: talking animals, elves, giants, curious characters with inspiring lessons, and a wondrous adventure: Nikolas decides to take a wild and dangerous ride into the land of the elves to bring back some proof that magic still exists, since the world doesn’t believe in it anymore. Oh, and there is snow. A lot of it.

A Boy Called Christmasis directed by Academy Award nomineeGil Kenan, who is veering into the fantasy territory after directing horror films likeMonster Houseand thePoltergeistremake. The story of the Netflix Christmas movie was adapted from the 2015 best-selling novel of the same name by authorMatt Haig, with Kenan andOl Parkerco-writing the script.
