Annabelle Comes Home, the third installment of New Line Cinema’s hugely successfulAnnabellefilms, stars the infamous sinister doll from theConjuringuniverse. ScreenwriterGary Dauberman(The Nun, IT, Annabellefilms) helms his first feature in the $1.5 billionConjuringfranchise. The new horror film is once again being produced byConjuringuniverse creatorJames Wanthrough his Atomic Monster production company, and byPeter Safran, who has produced all the films, through The Safran Company. Recently, Wan shared the first teaser art forAnnabelle Comes Home, so check it out to see how manyConjuringUniverse Easter eggs you’re able to find.
Annabelle Comes HomestarsMcKenna Graceas Judy;Madison Isemanas her babysitter, Mary Ellen; andKatie Sarifeas troubled friend Daniela; withPatrick WilsonandVera Farmigareprising their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren. Dauberman also wrote the screenplay from a story by Wan & Dauberman. From New Line Cinema, the film is set to open in theaters June 28th and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

In the poster below, you can see the title terror/doll front and center (complete with a sign that reads “Positively [Do Not Open]” and the presumed “seal” that bolsters the mechanical lock to keep her imprisoned), but there are otherConjuringnuggets scattered throughout. There’s the infamous music box and the creepy toy monkey, and the color projection wheel (which I can’t quite place where/when it was used), along with religious paraphernalia and the requisite skulls. Also included here is the 60s-era Milton-Bradley board game"Feeley Meeley", though its meaning escapes me; maybe it’ll factor into the story this summer!

Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her “safely” behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest’s holy blessing.
