The release of directorZack Snyder’s highly anticipatedBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justiceis now only two months away, and as such a few new images (and some we’ve already seen, but in better quality) from the movie have made their way online. As you well know, the film finds the world reeling from Superman’s (Henry Cavill) actions inMan of Steel, with Batman (Ben Affleck) coming out of retirement to show this alien he can’t just do as he pleases. Matters are made more complicated by the mischievous Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and enigmatic Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), but if you’ve been following the development of the DC Cinematic Universe closely, you know this is merely the tip of the iceberg.
These new images aren’t exactly groundbreaking, but we do get a great look at Affleck in the Batman costume without the mask, as well as some candid shots of Snyder on set. This is amassivemovie for Warner Bros., and while I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the film, I’m also crossing my fingers that the studio springs for a feature-length documentary on how the movie came to fruition in the first place. We’ve been covering thisMan of Steelfollow-up for three years now, and to see how the picture evolved and progressed during that time would be fascinating.

For now, though, take some appeasement by way of these new images below (viaCBM). The film also starsAmy Adams,Jeremy Irons,Laurence Fisburne,Scoot McNairy, andHolly Hunter.Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justiceopens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on March 23rd.
