Two months after landing in theaters to a mixed reception,Captain America: Brave New Worldwill make its way to fans’ homes as it sets digital release for next week.USA Todayreports thaton Tuesday, April 15,the Anthony Mackie-starring productionwill be available to buy and rent on digital platforms, including Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and Amazon, among others. This will be followed by a 4K Blu-ray/DVD release on Tuesday, May 13.
Included in the upcomingBrave New Worlddigital collection are three deleted scenes, including one set in Washington that features Sam Wilson (Mackie) going toe to toe in a boxing ring with Leila Taylor (Xosha Roquemore), a Secret Service agent working for President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (Harrison Ford). Sam tries to get intel on a classified mission from the secretive Leila, which ends up being a trip down to Mexico for Cap to recover stolen adamantium fromSidewinder (Giancarlo Esposito).

Other bonus features added to theCaptain America: Brave New Worldhome video release are a chronicling of Sam’s history in the Marvel Cinematic Universe; a look at the film’s antagonists, from the Leader (Tim Blake Nelson) and Sidewinder to Ross himself, who transforms into the Red Hulk; a gag reel; and audio commentary with directorJulius Onah. Besides the aforementioned actors, the 35th Marvel pic also starsDanny Ramirez,Shira Haas,Carl LumblyandLiv Tyler.
How Well —Or Badly Did ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Perform At The Box Office?
As part of Phase Five of the MCU,Captain America: Brave New Worldwas released nationwide on February 14 and has grossed $199 million domestically and $213 million internationally, for a total of $412 million worldwide. Although this makes itthe third-highest-grossing film of 2025, fans would be disappointed to hear thatit’s currently the sixth-lowest-grossing MCU movie ever. On top of that, it has received unfavorable reviews from critics, with it currently holding a 48% rating onRotten Tomatoes.
Despite its average performance, fans should expect to see some of its starsin the next Marvel production,Avengers: Doomsday. The film is scheduled to be released on August 19, 2025, as part of Phase Six of the MCU and will feature Mackie and Ramirez (who plays the new Falcon), as announced last month, among an impressive list of actors.Doomsdaywill be the 39th movie in the MCU and the fifth installment in theAvengersfranchise, following 2019’sAvengers: Endgame.
