One of my most anticipated movies of 2017 isMatt Reeveslatest installment of thePlanet of the Apesfranchise,War For The Planet of the Apes.Andy Serkisis back as Caesar and while the teaser released online last week is sparse, more details were shown and discussed with the New York Comic Con panel.
According to the AV Club, Reeves revealed thatWartakes place two years after the events ofDawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, in which Caesar killed his anti-human compatriot Koba (Toby Kebbell). Caesar’s now a battle-hardened version of the hero—with shades of “badassClint Eastwood,”as Reeves described him at the panel—and he’s starting to share some of Koba’s beliefs about his foes. In an unfinished scene shown to the Comic Con audience, Caesar and his cohort come across an abandoned girl, unable to speak. While the orangutan Maurice (Karin Konoval) wants to bring her with them, Caesar is reluctant. Maurice ends up winning, and the child, played byAmiah Miller, ends up being a “major part of the film,” Reeves told us. (The footage shown was unfinished, giving attendees a window in the mo-cap process—from Serkis in dots on a horse to a crude animation to a more recognizable ape.)”

Revealed to the crowd at New York Comic Con, if last weeks episodeThe Morgue, the Starz horror-comedy series has no signs of slowing down and the cast seems to really be hitting their groove with one another. While speaking to a packed house at Fantastic Fest, Bruce declared that if it were up to him, the show would run for seven seasons, hinting he is not sick of donning the chainsaw quite yet. Outcast, one of the most under-watched and underappreciated shows of this year, will return to Cinemax in 2017. Based on the graphic novel byRobert Kirkmanand starringPatrick Fugit,Phillip Glennester,Reg E Cathy,Wrenn SchmidtandBrent Spiner,Outcastpremiered a first look at its sophomore season this year at NYCC and it does not disappoint. As Kyle Barns, his daughter Amber, and his sister Megan must deal with the repercussions of the events of last season we see the team divided and losing the battle with the evil forces who threaten to take over all of their loved ones. The clip also sees Fugit’s Kyle Barnes reunited with Gabriel Bateman, the child who plays Joshua in the stunning pilot episode.
