Chucky is back and he’s bringing some franchise favs with him this time. ForCult of Chucky, everybody’s foul-mouthed killer doll continues his murderous mayhem behind the doors of an insane asylum where Chucky goes up against hisChild’s Playfoe Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) once again. Also returning areJennifer Tillyas Chucky’s twisted bride Tiffany,Fiona Dourifas Nica, and of course,Brad Dourifas the voice of Chucky.
After months of behind-the-scenes photos the first trailer is here in full red-band glory, and it looks like a blast. It’s fun to see familiar faces from throughout the franchise and the inescapable grounds of an insane asylum are an ideal setting for any horror film. After leaning into the comedy over the last few films, it looks likeCult of Chuckymay be going a little heavier on the horror this time around and I’m here for it. Let’s make those childhood nightmares come alive again. In addition to the new trailer, Universal has revealed thatCult of Chuckywill arrive on Blu-ray and DVD on October 3rd. Additionally,Chucky: Complete 7-Movie Collectionwill also drop on Blu-ray™ and DVD on July 31, 2025 in the United States only.

Here’s the synopsis forCult of Chucky:
“Confined to an asylum for the criminally insane for the past four years, Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif) is erroneously convinced that she, not Chucky, murdered her entire family. But when her psychiatrist introduces a new therapeutic “tool” to facilitate his patients' group sessions - an all-too-familiar “Good Guy” doll with an innocently smiling face - a string of grisly deaths begins to plague the asylum, and Nica starts to wonder if maybe she isn’t crazy after all. Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent), Chucky’s now-grown-up nemesis from the original Child’s Play, races to Nica’s aid. But to save her he’ll have to get past Tiffany (Oscar-nominee Jennifer Tilly), Chucky’s long-ago bride, who will do anything, no matter how deadly or depraved, to help her beloved devil doll.”
