Summer is fast approaching, which means the various major theme parks are getting ready to unveil their new attractions for 2018. While Universal Orlando Resort has a few surprises in store in the coming years—including a Wizarding World of Harry Potter expansion andNintendo World—this year fans will get to dive deep into the world ofFast & Furious. Indeed,Fast & Furious – Superchargedis set to open at Universal Studios Florida this spring, and the park has released some new images of the attraction to give fans a peek inside.
This ride actually already exists at Universal Studios Hollywood, so it marks one of the rare cases in which Hollywood’s park beat Florida to the punch. That said, Universal Orlando hasmuchmore to offer, so I’m curious to see how (or if) the ride has been updated for the Orlando park. We do already know that Orlando’s version will feature Tej (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges) and Mia (Jordana Brewster) for the first time, and the attraction will play host to 15 superchargedFast &Furiouscars for parkgoers to see and take photos with.
In the context ofSuperchargedfans will get the chance to go into Dom’s workshop as well as Tej’s high-tech War Room, and you can take a peek at both in the photos below.
The opening ofSuperchargedcomes on the heels of last year’s delightfulRace Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, as well as Universal Orlando’sthird theme park Volcano Bay, a water-themed park packed with thrills and death-defying slides galore. In addition to parks, Universal is opening yet another hotel this August, the Aventura, and next year will open the first of two value hotels on-site.
