To promoteBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Warner Bros. has been releasing a series of video compilations featuring the casts of its TV properties answering “Who will win?” The casts ofGotham,Arrow, andThe Flashhave all done them. But, in one of the most unexpected surprises,the latest additiongives us the a first look atJared Padalecki(Supernatural) andMilo Ventimiglia(Heroes) on the set of Netflix’sGilmore Girlsrevival series.
The actors portrayedDean Forester and Jess Mariano, two ex-boyfriends of Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel), and they’ve returned to the series’ set in character. Dean featured on the original series’ pilot episode and went on to become Rory’s first serious boyfriend, while Jess and Logan (played byMatt Czuchry) came into the picture later. All three are confirmed for the revival, though how they’ll factor into the story is still unclear.

Ventimiglia told TV Line of Jess’ return:
I was trying to recall where we left off with him. I think he was starting his own press in Philadelphia. He had written a book. And he was trying to re-inspire Rory into going back to her roots. Not much has changed in Jess’ world since then. Jess might’ve been a pain in the ass when he first got to Stars Hollow, but he grew up and became a pretty decent guy. So it’s kind of a continuation of that with Jess.
The trio of boyfriends feature alongside returning cast members Bledel,Lauren Graham(mamma Gilmore),David Sutcliffe(Rory’s father, Chris),Liza Weil(Paris),Kelly Bishop(Emily),Sean Gunn(Kirk),Scott Patterson(Luke),Keiko Agena(Lane), andYanic Truesdale(Michel), whileSutton FosterofBunheadsis new to the revival.
The newGilmore Girlswill feature four 90-minute episodes, each taking place over the course of a season beginning with winter. No release date has been announced yet.
