He kept fans in the dark thatSplitwas a backdoor sequel to his 2000 filmUnbreakable, and now he’ll be tying the two films together withGlass, a title that referencesSamuel L. Jackson’s character, Elijah Price, aka “Mr. Glass”. Now it looks like a couple moreUnbreakableactors will be signing onto the upcoming sequel.

THRreports thatSpencer Treat ClarkandCharlayne Woodardare both set to reprise their roles fromUnbreakable. Clark played Joseph Dunn, the son ofBruce Willis’ character, David Dunn. Woodard played Elijah’s mother.  Clark recently played Werner von Strucker on ABC’sAgents of SHIELDand Woodard has appeared on episodes ofThe Leftovers,People of Earth, andThe Blacklist.

Anya Taylor-Joyis set to reprise her role fromSplit, andSarah Paulsonis also on board in an undisclosed role.

It will be interesting to see how the film shapes up, especially with supporting characters coming back and Shaymalan getting to play with the passage of time. Even thoughSplitwas technically a sequel, we only got a glimpse of David at the end. WithGlass, Shyamalan will have almost two decades of time to play with and to see how it has affected both Dunn and Price.

Filming onGlassis set to begin this month for a June 11, 2025 release.

Here’s the official synopsis forGlass:

FromUnbreakable, Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast.

Following the conclusion ofSplit,Glassfinds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

This riveting culmination of his worldwide blockbusters will be produced by Shyamalan and Jason Blum, who also produced the writer/director’s previous two films for Universal. They produce again with Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock, and Steven Schneider, who will executive produce.
