WithGrey’s Anatomytaking a short break this week — there was no new episode or rerun due to the 2025NFLdraft —ABCis teasing the next episode of the show, which starts the countdown to the season finale in mid-May. In a new sneak peek, viewers are presented with a case that will probably stretch for the remainder of the season. Amelia (Caterina Scorsone)will be at the center of it, and we will discover details of the case next Thursday, May 1.
The next episode, titled “Papa Was a Rollin' Stone,” will introduceYellowstone’sPiper Peraboto the cast. The newcomer isslated for a three-episode arc, and knowing thatGrey’s Anatomycases don’t tend to stretch over multiple episodes, we just know it will be a big and difficult one. In the sneak peek, Amelia is saying that she will have to take a “high-risk” approach to a nine-year-old girl’s angioma. Despite her years of experience, you’re able to see thatthe case will be a big challengefor the doctor.
Amelia isn’t the only one who will have a hard time this week. The sneak peek also hints at Winston (Anthony Hill) and Jules (Adelaide Kane)in complete disagreementover how they should handle the family of a trauma patient. Aside from that, the episode will start preparing fans for one of thebig events of the season: Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Link (Chris Carmack) are ready to tie the knot, even though the wedding planning doesn’t go as smoothly as they wish it would.
Is ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Renewed For Season 22?
Regardless of what happens in the final stretch of episodes fromSeason 21,Grey’s Anatomyfans can relax knowing that another season is already on the way.ABC renewed the seriesearlier this month, and showrunnerMeg Marinishas already stated that title character Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) is slated toreturn once again. At this point, we still don’t know the circumstances of her return, but Marinis is optimistic the former protagonist will come back for another seven-episode arc.
