Time is ticking down forS.W.A.T.fans, with the series finale just around the corner. But, ahead of that dreadful date of May 16, which will host a two-episode farewell, there’s one more installment for audiences to dig into. Titled “Devil Dog,” this week viewers will go on a little road trip with Hondo (Shemar Moore), Deacon (Jay Harrington), and Hondo’s father, Daniel Sr. (Obba Babatundé). The trio is heading to a marine base where Hondo’s cousin, Andre (Freddy D. Ramsey Jr.),has seemingly gone AWOL. Ahead of the episode, which arrives tomorrow night, Collider is excited to give viewers an exclusive sneak peek at the action that’s to come.
Hondo and Daniel Sr. have already arrived at the military barracks at the top of our first look, as we watch them being shown to Andre’s bunk. Searching for clues, Daniel Sr. opens the storage box by Andre’s bed but finds that it’s already been cleaned out. Talking over what might have possessed Andre to leave basic training, Hondo is buying into the possibility that Andre may have accidentally killed one of his peers during a brawl. But, Hondo’s suspicions do a 180 when the pair look behind Andre’s bed and discover a watch given to him by his father — a treasured belonging that Daniel Sr. knows Andre would have never left behind. Putting the puzzle pieces together, the two men realize thatAndre is in a boatload of troubleand is being framed for murder while the real killer slips away.
