Nearly a full year later, it’s still unclear as to when it’s going to be released. Speaking to ScreenRant to promoteConsecration,HorizonstarDanny Hustonexpressed a positive outlook on the future of theHorizonfranchise, despite the recent turmoil:
“I am absolutely bated breath anticipating. I can’t wait to see the second chapter. It’s such a big document, an epic dream of a film. It’s like a steam engine that’s coming at us, and it won’t stop. There’s no stopping it. But it’s working at its own pace.”
Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1began streaming on Netflix earlier this year, but the streamer recently announced thatthe final day to watch the film will be on July 15. It has yet to be announced which streaming service the film will head to next, if it’s even been picked up by another one at all.Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 2premiered last year at the Venice International Film Festival, and it was also poorly received by the critics in attendance, earning a“rotten”54% score on the aggregate siteRotten Tomatoes.
