Fans ofInside Amy Schumercan not get a sneak peek at one of the skits appearing on tonight’s episode, as Schumer turns her sites on the MTV reality juggernautCatfish, along with a parody of its co-hostsNev SchulmanandMax Joseph(“the one with the gray hair and the other one”). Even if you haven’t watchedCatfish(and you really should, it’s addictive even once you know the formula), there are still plenty of jokes to appeal to casual viewers, although I have to praise its hilarious specificity (“Am I going on an airplane?” “I hope it’s an overweight lesbian who can’t make eye contact!”)
THRdebuted the clip earlier, which features Schumer’s character calling up the “Katfish” guys on Skype and saying that she thinks she’s being scammed by someone pretending to beJake Gyllenhaal. Spoiler-not-spoiler, itisGyllenhaal, who apparently loves ferrets (and gets angry really easily). There are many things to enjoy about the skit, but Gyllenhaal whipping that ferret around and shaking it (or a stuffed version, anyway) at Schumer for emphasis is hilarious. Katfish and the rest of the episode’s skits can be seen on Comedy Central when it debuts Thursdayat 10 p.m. ET (I need to catch up clearly because thisKnick-inspired image below has me exceptionally intrigued!)
