It may have been steamrolled by critics, butJason Statham’sExpend4blesis throwing haymakers on streaming again. The fourth and final installment in the testosterone-fueledExpendablesfranchise has bulldozed its way back into the Starz top 10 in the last week, and it’s all thanks to the unexpected ripple effect of Statham’s newest theatrical hit,A Working Man.Despite debuting with a bruising 14% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, the loud and brash 2023 action thriller has proven once again that audience taste doesn’t always line up with critical consensus.Expend4blescurrently holds a far more respectable 69% audience rating, and fans are clearly hungry for more Statham mayhem while revisiting his most recent (and most explosive) team-up withMegan Fox,Dolph Lundgren, andTulsa King’sownSylvester Stallone.

Expend4blesfirst dropped in 2023 to grim reviews and a whimper at the box office, seemingly putting a nail in the franchise’s coffin. But since landing on Starz, the film has defied expectations— spending over 200 days in the streamer’s top 10 before briefly slipping out earlier this year. Now, with the hype surrounding Statham’s current projects at an all-time high, it’s back in the ring at #7 on FlixPatrol’s global rankings.

Who Else Is In ‘Expend4bles’?

Directed byScott Waugh— who has recently been directingRunner, the latest project forReacherstarAlan Ritchson— the movie follows Barney Ross (Stallone) and Lee Christmas (Statham) as they attempt to stop a mysterious arms dealer named Rahmat (Iko Uwais) from triggering World War III. The mission brings in new blood, including Megan Fox’s CIA agent Gina,Curtis “50 Cent” Jacksonas Easy Day, andLevy Tranas Lash, alongside franchise regularsRandy Coutureand Dolph Lundgren. The film might be dumb as a brick — and it wears that badge proudly — but when you combine heavy artillery, over-the-top explosions, and a pile of biceps, you get exactly whatExpendablesfans signed up for.

Statham’s dance card is anything but empty. He’s officially set to reprise his role as Adam Clay in the upcoming sequel toThe Beekeeper, thoughDavid Ayerwill not return to direct. That job now belongs toTimo Tjahjanto, best known for his work onTheNight Comes for UsandNobody 2. If that wasn’t enough, Statham is also leadingMutiny, an action thriller fromBlood FatherdirectorJean-François Richet, which hits theaters August 07, 2025.
