To that end, sources tell Collider thatJerrika Hinton,Dylan Baker,Lena Olin,Greg Austin,Catherine Tate,Tiffany Boone,Saul RubinekandCarol Kaneare in various stages of negotiations to join the ’70s-set drama.

Based on an original idea byDavid Weil, who was inspired by true events,The Huntfollows Jonah Heidelbaum (Lerman), who finds himself swept into a secret group known as The Hunters, who are devoted to rooting out Nazi officials who now live in America under assumed identities. Pacino will play a veteran Nazi hunter who becomes his mentor.

Hinton is in talks to play the series' female lead, Millie Malone, an in-your-face FBI agent who’s marginalized in the Bureau because of her race and gender. Baker is in talks to play Biff Simpson, a Waspy politician and family man hiding a dark secret. Austin is set to play Travis Leich, a young man eager to serve the murderous Nazi cause. Olin is being eyed to play another Nazi, while Tate is being eyed to play a nun. Finally, Rubinek and Kane are set to play a Hasidic couple named Murray and Mindy Markowitz.

The Hunthails from Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Sonar Entertainment, and Amazon has given the vengeance-driven series a 10-episode order. Weil created the show and will serve as showrunner alongsideNikki Toscano, and the two of them will join Peele as executive producers along with Sonar’sTom LesinskiandJenna Santoianni, and Monkeypaw’sWin Rosenfeld.Alfonso Gomez-Rejon(Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) is expected to direct the first episode, which is slated to start production later this month in New York.
