Even more surprising was the fact that the sisters seemed amenable to the idea.
Kylie, who has been notoriously camera-shy on the family reality series, even jokingly signed on to do a three-episode special. Since the siblings have committed to filming in tandem this season, and because they are the most at ease in each other’s presence, the pitch could actually work.Viewers would absolutely tune in for a closer look at the fashion model and her make-up mogul sister. There is, however, oneKim Kardashian-sized hole in their plan.
A Kendall and Kylie Spin-Off Could Work
The pair have a great Lucy and Ethel dynamic, riffing off of one another as Kylie, especially, teases her older sister, who likes to play it cool, despite how clearly bothered she can get. When Kylie joked that she was more laid-back than her older sibling, Kendall made sure to correct her sister’s choice of words, assuring everyone in a high-pitched voice of how easy-going she finds herself to be. Being the youngest sister in a family filled with strong personalities, has given Kyliea bratty sense of humorthat likes to gently assure her sisters of her own superiority to them, and then sit back and watch them squirm.
A spin-off that followed the sisters as they jet around the world, participating in standard Kardashian events like Paris Fashion Week and the Met Gala, is already a proven formula that works for the famous family. Now thatKing Kylie is backwith her own alcohol line to promote as Kendall continues to build her818 Tequilaempire, the sisters will have more than enough promotional events to coincide with filming to keep everyone busy. And if the sisters are more comfortable sharing details about their lives while in each other’s company,the possibility of seeingmore personal relationships and emotional rangefrom the sisters is an enticing proposition. There is, however, the problem of their older sister approving the plan.

The duo are rarely ever featured at family events anymore as it is, and they most frequently film in each other’s company while promoting their business ventures.A spin-off would take all that camera time away from the family reality series, putting even more pressure on the three older sisters and their momagerKris Jennerto come up with interesting storylines.The reality series is already losing steam, with Season 6 feeling like it has been filled with filler scenes and retrospective vibes, and a Jenner sisters' spin-off would only spell misfortune for Season 7.
If Kendall and Kylie were to branch away from the main series,it’s likely the remaining family members would have to reconfigure what they are willing to share next season. Without a major shift in the older siblings' attitudes about filming, it is unlikely there would be enough Kardashian footage to keep viewers entertained for a full season. There is also a new generation of the Kardashian clan drumming up pop-culture relevance of their very own. If Kendall and Kylie were to follow through with a spin-off of their own, and the Kardashian sisters weren’t willing to fill their schedules with more filming events, without tapping into the next generation of talent waiting in the wings, the family reality series would be in trouble.
