Look, I’m just going to be straight-up here: I do not watchKrypton, but this Season 2 trailer looks absolutely nuts. Syfy revealed this first look today, which also features the advent of the DC villain Lobo (Emmett J. Scanlan) in the series, which follows the story of Superman’s grandfather, Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), and his adventures before Kal-El and, of course, the planet’s destruction.
There certainly seems to be plenty for these characters to contend with in the meantime though, as Zod begins his rise and there are questions of who will bend the knee. But from someone whodoeswatchKrypton, you may read what Vinnie Mancuso had to say about what Syfy’s seriescan learnfromGotham– another totally insane superhero origin series (well, -ish onKrypton’s part).
And as for British reggae Lobo, here’s how the character is described per Syfy:
