Batman v Superman: Dawn of JusticescreenwriterChris Terrio, who is also the writer ofJustice Leauge: Part Onerecently spoke to theWall Street Journal about writing bothBatman v SupermanandPart OneofJustice Leaguesaying hewon’t necessarily writePart Twobecause it has been one the most rigorous intellectual exercise he’s ever had. He cites the amount of research needed for each film from Amazon mythology to life inside the Mariana Trench all inside the huge canon of DC Comics. Terrio also comparedBatman v SupermantoTheEmpire Strikes Back, the second movie in a trilogy afterMan of SteelwithJustice Leaguebeing the third in a saga.
Napster founderSean Parkerlast week announced plans for a new movie streaming service called Screening Room that would provide first-run movies streamed into the homes of viewers for $50 a movie. And according to a report from Variety,Screening Room now has the backing ofSteven Spielberg,Peter Jackson,J.J. Abrams,Ron Howardand his producing partnerBrian Grazer. With such Hollywood Heavyweights backing the controversial venture insiders believe the service will take off. Screening Room will charge users $150 for access to the anti-piracy equipped set-top box, with $50 a movie, and as much as $20 per film going to theatre owners.

A new clip has been released for the upcoming sequel toTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:Out of the Shadows. In the clip, which debuted during Nickelodeon’s Kid Choice Awards, shows the turtles in action, driving their new van against the foot clan in a staged, stunt sequence. The sequel is directed byDavid Greenand adds inStephen Amellas Casey Jones, with returning cast membersMegan FoxandWill Arnett.Alan Ritchson,Noel Fisher,Pete Ploszek, andJeremy Howardreprise their motion-capture roles as the turtles. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadowsopens in theaters on June 3rd.

Star Trek Beyondwill head back for some reshoots this weekand they are significant enough to add a new cast member to the movie. According to Deadline,House of Sand and FogactressShohreh Aghdashloohas been added to the movie with sources saying she is playing a character in the high command of the Federation. The third movie directed byJustin Lin, is written bySimon PeggandDoug JungwithIdris Elbaplaying the villain alongside returning cast membersChris Pine,Zoe Saldana,Zachary Quinto,John Cho,Karl Urban, andAnton Yelchin,Star Trek Beyondopens in theaters on July 22nd.
With about 11 days beforeBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicedrops in theatres, the marketing team behindZack Snyder‘santicipated follow up toMan of Steelis working overtime,releasing an international trailer this morningwith new footage of Batman fighting Superman with other quick glimpses of Wonder Woman played byGal Gadot. The movie starsBen Affleck,Henry Cavilland Gal Gadot and will finally arrive in theatres this March 25th.

A new trailer forAlice Through the Looking Glass, the sequel toAlice in Wonderland, has arrived just in time for Daylight Saving Time, suggesting that the hour we all lost yesterday was actually stolen by the film’s villain, played bySacha Baron Cohen.Mia Wasikowskawho plays Alice, returns to the whimsical world of Underland and travels back in time to save the Mad Hatter played byJohnny Depp. The film also starsAnne HathawayandHelena Bonham Carteralong with the voices ofAlan Rickman,Stephen FryandMichael Sheen. The film will be released May 27th, 2016.
