However,Communitycreator and writerDan Harmonhas been hiredto pen script pages to be used for additional photography. THR reports the news of Harmon joining the team behindDoctor Strange, with many reports speculating that the creator was brought in to add just a bit more humor to Strange’s debut film.Doctor Strangehits theatres on November 4th.

Rovio has confirmed that anAngry BirdsMovie sequel is in the works. A Rovio chief executive announced the plans to the Wall Street Journal, stating they have already started planning the sequel but didn’t offer up any other details on who will direct or which stars will return. The first film finished its run with a worldwide total of $346 million off a $73-million-dollar budget.

According to THR,Christoph Waltzis in talks to play Doctor Dyson Ido, the cyber-surgeon who finds the cyborg and becomes the mentor of Alita in theRobert RodriguezhelmedAlita: Battle Angeladaptation. The movie will shoot this fall and has previously setMaze Runner: The Scorch TrialsactressRosa Salazarin the title role of an amnesiac female cyborg who becomes a bounty hunter. The movie is set to open on July 19, 2025.

The Weinstein Company hasreleased its first trailer forLion. The movie starsDev Patel,Rooney Mara,Nicole Kidmanand is based on the true story of a man who was separated from his family as a child and as an adult goes looking for them with the help of Google Earth. The Weinstein’s have their sights set on the Oscars but first it will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival before opening in theatres this November 25th.

The Fault in Our StarsdirectorJosh Boonehas been hard at work on an adaptation of theX-Menspin-off movieNew Mutantsfor months, andnow he’s getting a hand from some former collaborators. THR reports that screenwriting duo ofScott NeustadterandMichael H. Weber, who previously pennedThe Fault in Our StarsandThe Spectacular Now, are working on theNew Mutantsscript which will follow a young group of misfit mutants coming to terms with their abilities.New Mutantsdoesn’t have a release date yet but back in May, producerSimon Kinbergtold outlets they were eyeing a 2017 start of production.
