Twilightfans were delivered a treat earlier this year whenNetflix added the entire saga of movies to its library, but all good things must come to an end. After several months of streaming dominance, Netflix has now announced thatallTwilightmovies will leave the platform at the end of the month on June 30. The franchise was formerly streaming onPeacockbefore it moved to Netflix, but a new streaming home has not been announced. Fans may have to do without anyTwilightmovies on streaming for a month or two before another service scoops them up. With five films under its belt, The Twilight Saga has successfullygrossed more than $3.3 billion at the global box office, with the collective budgets of the films coming in at under $500 million.
Although the stars ofTwilighthave gone on to do extraordinary things, it will always be hard for many fans to separate them from their original roles as vampires and werewolves.Robert Pattinson, in particular, has become one of Hollywood’s most sought-after A-listers and is even the new Batman, but there will always be fans who remember him as Edward Cullen. The same can be said forKristen Stewart. She may be permanently attached to her performance as Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga, but she’s gone on to extraordinary things, including earning an Oscar nomination for her work in the 2021 film,Spencer. Stewart also recently starred oppositeKaty O’BrianinLove Lies Bleedingfor A24, and she’ll be seen oppositeElizabeth OlsenandOscar IsaacinFlesh of the Gods.
Is There Going To Be Another ‘Twilight’ Movie?
There have been rumors of anotherTwilightmovie for years, but there is no concrete evidence to support that anotherTwilightfilm is in the works. Robert Pattinson ruled out any potential return to theTwilightfranchise, and it’s unlikely any of the original cast would return for a future project.Lionsgatecurrently has creative control of the property, and although the studio has not explicitly ruled out anotherTwilightmovie happening, things are quiet on that front for now. There is reportedlyaTwilightanimated series in the works, but details about the project are being kept under wraps.
