The first season ofSuits LA, a spin-off to the 2011 legal drama,Suits, has opted to tell its own story in a different way, as it hasrelied heavily on flashbacksto reveal various plot points. InSuits LASeason 1, Episode 10,“Slugfest,“those flashbacks established emphatically that Stuart Lane (Josh McDermitt) is every bit as ruthless as Ted Black (Stephen Amell) when he wants to be, even when it hurts those he might care about. Buthis ruthlessness might have cost him dearly in the present day,and new comical challenges await his friend, as he continues to run his firm.

The logline for next Sunday’s Episode 11 ofSuits LA, “Tearin' Up My Heart,” is as follows:

“Ted must deliver on a request from client Patton Oswalt; Amanda goes to Erica for help defending a star accused of attacking her dad; Stuart’s accident causes him to a spiral; in the past,Ted and Eddie go to Los Angelesfor Stuart’s bachelor party.”

NBC has released a sneak peek of the episode, which promises some serious comedic relief as the show welcomes back some guest stars.

‘Suits LA’ Is the Home of Celebrity Guest Stars

The footage begins with another flashback, as a younger version of Ted Black meetsPatton Oswaltfor the first time. Oswalt had previously appeared on the show inEpisode 3, “He Knew.““But to you, I’m famous,” Oswalt says to Ted, whose response is typical, noting to his client-to-be, “I’ve never actually heard of you.” McDermitt’s Stuart doesn’t seem to have snapped out of the fog his most recent case has brought, as he crashes into a lady’s car. A character played byYvette Nicole Brownsteps out and Stuart has a new set of problems on his hands. Back at Black & Associates, one of Ted’s conference rooms is turned into a wrestling ring as Oswalt andThe Officestar,Brian Baumgartner, square off…sort of.

Baumgartner and Oswalthad both appeared in Episode 3 of the legal drama, and the show seems poised to use even more real-life stars playing versions of themselves. It remains to be seen if Yvette will play a version of herself or an original character in what seems to be a guest role.Lex Scott DavisisSuits LA’s female lead, starring as Erica Rollins, and the actress previously suggested that the series would look to bring oneven more celebrities as guest stars. “Moving forward, it’s all still being written. I can’t say exactly who yet, but there’s always space for it on this show. We film in Los Angeles. The beauty about that is that we have access and resources to plenty of talent.A lot of stars could potentially grace our stage. We just don’t know yet.”
