Despite being known for her cuteness, innocence, and “waku waku,” she fell short in the rankings asOne Pieceproves it, too, has the power to dominate the anime comfort scene.
Based on the results shared on the Crunchyroll website, more fans votedMonkey D. Luffyas a suitable comfort anime character, leaving Anya in third place. Despite starring in a shōnen anime about pirates and searching for theOne Piece,fans voted for this soon-to-be-King of the Pirates due to his infectious smile and carefree personality. But despite topping one of anime’s cutest characters, claiming the top spot is Maomao inThe Apothecary Diaries.
Other characters who made it to Crunchyroll’s Top 10 list include Tanjiro fromDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Asta fromBlack Clover, Midoriya and Bakugo fromMy Hero Academia, Ranpo fromBungo Stray Dogs,Naruto, and Frieren fromFrieren: Beyond Journey’s End. This was in dedication to mental health awareness month and how each of these characters could put a smile on fans' faces whenever they’re feeling low.
What Do We Know About Anya In ‘Spy x Family’ So Far?
Beforebecoming a member of the Forger household, Anya’s backstory is one of the big mysteries in theSpy x Familyfranchise. So far, the only thing known about her past was that she was a Test Subject for a group of scientists and was given the codename “Test Subject 007. " It was theorized that she might be connected to Project Apple.
As an orphan, she was adopted multiple times, receiving numerous surnames, only to be returned to the orphanage. Additionally, there is no official information or documents about her birth parents or her actual age. Despite this, Anya still retains some memories of her birth mother, as seen during her school interview for Eden Academy.
Throughout the anime, details of Anya’s powers slowly come to light, like how her powers are temporarily disabled during an eclipse and how she would get nosebleeds when surrounded by a crowd due to her lack of control of her telepathy. But despite these handicaps,Anya can show some competence with her powers, like reading Bond’s mind when he sees the future, and using her unique abilities to save lives, whether it’s a stranger, her family, or her friends.
