‘Wolverine 3’ Explores the Professor X Father/Son Relationship
The nextWolverinefilm, to the pain of many, will mark the last time we will seeHugh Jackmandon the claws as the popular mutant, so naturally we are all expecting the final appearance of Jackman to be something to remember. Not a lot is known about the film for now, and the script remains in development, but during a recent interview with Steve, Jackman shared some info onwhat we can expect from the Professor X/Wolverine relationshipwhen the movie finally hits screens. According to Jackman, the relationship between the characters will go in new directions, “I think it’s a really important relationship but I want to see signs of that quasi-father/son sort of relationship that has not been seen before, and sides of particularly Professor X that have not been seen before.”

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Culminates a Trilogy, Says Simon Kinberg
Bryan Singer’sX-Men: Apocalypseis closer than you think, and most of us are curious where this latest installment will take this story and these characters. But according to writer/producerSimon Kinberg,X-Men: Apocalypsewill be the “culmination” of a trilogy. During an interview with Steve at TIFF, Kinberg discussed the upcoming film and said the following:
“It delivers on the dramatic story and emotion of the last two movies. It feels like the culmination of the four main characters really — McAvoy, Fassbender, Nic Hoult, and Jen. And it’s a bigger movie in both physical scale and I would say emotional stakes too because it is the culmination of this mini trilogy of stories.”

While talking to Empire Magazine, the director talked a little about setting aside the origin story, and followed by revealing Peter’s age, “We’re really going to see Peter Parker in high school and get deeper into that side of it. He’s just 15 now.”

Included in Sony Pictures' unfulfilled plans to build and expand on a cinematic Spider-Man universe was a supervillain team-up project,Sinister Six. It’s very unclear whereSinister Sixfits in the new plans for the franchise, if at all, but according toDrew Goddard—who was set to write and direct the spinoff—the supervillain film is still a possibility. In a recent interview, Goddard shared some of his vison for the film, “My vision of that movie was a summer annual. So you didn’t have to worry about continuity. It was just, ‘We take Peter, put him on an adventure, we put him back in his life.’” The director also shared his positive thoughts on the movie still happening, “So who knows what the future holds? This is Hollywood, man, you’ve gotta play the long game.”
