‘Aquaman’ Gets an Official Release Date
After a brief cameo inBatman v Supermanand an upcoming full appearance inJustice League,Jason Momoa’s Atlantean King will get his own standalone movie withJames Wan’sAquaman, and we now knowwhen that will be. According to reports, WB and DC Films have set the official release ofAquamanfor August 17, 2025, releasing the film in 3D and IMAX. We still know next to nothing from the movie, but Wan has described the tone as a classic adventure film “in the spirit ofRaiders of the Lost Ark.” Having an official release date is good news and Wan certainly seems to know where he wants to take the story, let’s hope Aquaman’s introduction inJustice Leagueleaves fans hungry for his solo film and his entire world.
‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’: Spidey Suit to Include Classic Touch
In the world of superhero movies fans usually compare these characters and their looks to the source material expecting them to be faithful adaptations, and in the case ofSpider-Man: Homecoming,Jon Wattsappears to have included aclassic detailin Spidey’s suit that comic fans should enjoy. At Comic Con Experience 2016 in Brazil, audiences were treated to a short clip from the film showcasing an upgraded Spidey suit, which includes the wall-crawler’s classic web wings. This is one of those details that is a tip of the hat to the comics and the artists, not that it will make the movie any better or worse, but still something that will probably make you smile when you see it on screen.
In other Spider-Man news, if you like little peeks at behind-the-scenes movie magic, then you will enjoy this post-productionvideoofTom Hollandrecording some facial capture.

‘The LEGO Batman Movie’: Billy Dee Williams to Voice Two-Face
From what we’ve seen so far in promotional material fromThe LEGO Batman Movie, the team behind the animated film is definitely very aware of the character’s rich history, including all the iterations in movies and television. That awareness seems to have influenced the casting as well, with the reveal thatBilly Dee Williamslent hisvoice to play Two-Facein the movie. The actor played Harvey Dent inTim Burton’s 1989Batman, and while he didn’t get to play Dent’s alter ego in that movie, he will get to voice Two-Face inThe LEGO Batman. Curiously, this wasn’t revealed in some big announcement, instead a fan on Twitter asked directorChris McKayif Williams would voice the character, and he responded with a simple “He does.”
‘Power Rangers’: New Rita Repulsa Images and Alpha 5 Concept Art
The upcomingPower Rangersdefinitely wants to keep talk about the movie going with promotional material as its release date gets closer, the latest topics of discussion beingnew imagesand concept art. The new images set the spotlight onElizabeth Banks’ Rita Repulsa in all of her green-suited, staff-wielding glory, and appearing a tad more seductive than what you probably remember of the villain in the original 1990s TV series.
The concept art features friendly robot Alpha 5, giving us a look at what could be his brand new design in the film. The concept art of Alpha 5 hasn’t had the most positive response, and let’s just say I don’t expect to see many kids lining up to get the Alpha 5 toy. This is just concept art that we’re talking about, so the final version in the film could look a lot better, but these images really aren’t too encouraging.
