‘Swamp People’ Will Return for Season 17

The announcement featured a photo of the gator hunter posing with an alligator carcass onInstagram.“Word on da street is we coming back for season 17,”read the caption. Fans quickly took to the comments to share the excitement and express that theycouldn’t wait for the show to return.

The news came shortly after theSwamp PeopleSeason 16 finale aired in late April 2025.The season finale featured the gator hunters rushing to fill their final tags before time ran out. The episode followed the swampers as they faced everything fromunpredictable weather to failing equipmentand heated arguments. The Landrys, in particular, were struggling with 60 tags left across the whole crew as the hunting season came to a close.
