While it’s hard for people to agree on anything nowadays, the one thing I’m sure about is everyone lovesAntony Starr’swork as Homelander on the Amazon hit seriesThe Boys. The way Starr can switch from his smiling Superman persona to someone with zero humanity that might kill you in in an instant is fantastic and he constantly makes you wonder what Homelander will do next. InThe BoysSeason 2, which premieres on Amazon this Friday, Homelander is dealt a surprise when a new hero, Stormfront (played byAya Cash), joins the Seven. As you can imagine, Homelander is not pleased when things happen without his approval…

Shortly after watching the first three episodes of Season 2, I got to speak with Antony Starr and Aya Cash about making the highly anticipated second season. During this spoiler-free interview, they talked about when they found out about some of the crazy stuff they’d be filming, what it was like for Cash to deliver her uncomfortable dialogue on set, how Starr relishes playing the dark side of Homelander, what it’s really like filming a series loaded with action set pieces, how they had extra time to film Season 2 and what that added to the series, and a lot more.
