On Monday,Last Supper - Part 2grossed over $800,000, whileLast Supper - Part 1grossed over $200,000. With a cumulative haul of around $97 million,The Chosen seriesis inchingtowards the coveted $100 million mark domestically. It would be a massive achievement for any franchise, but fora television seriesto do this is unprecedented. To be precise, only around half of the series has been released theatrically; the strategy changed after the pandemic, withChristmas with the Chosen: The Messengersgrossing around $13 million domestically in 2021. The third season grossed a total of around $30 million, and the fourth season generated around $40 million across installments.

Easter Weekend is Going to Be Crowded

The marketplace will, of course, be crowded.A Minecraft Movieis expected to dominate again, after breaking records in its debut frame. The faith-based crowd will also have the option of watchingThe King of Kings, a new animated movie in which a young boy joins Jesus in his epic life story via his father’s tales. The film has delivered record pre-sales numbers for Angel Studios, according to Deadline.The King of Kingsholds a “fresh” 76%Rotten Tomatoesscore, but don’t be surprised if the audience score is considerably higher come Friday.
