Billie Comes Through for Colter in a Major Way in Season 2 of ‘Tracker’

Billie’s relationship with Colter hasbeen one of the most intriguing developmentsinTracker, evolving from rivals to unlikely allies. She was first introduced in Season 1, Episode 6 “Lexington,” as a competing rewardist and sparks definitely flew, but her character remained somewhat vague before they went their separate ways. However, her return in Season 2 marked a shift in their dynamic. In “Bloodlines,“Billie reaches out to Colter for helpwith a case that turns out to be deeply personal. After solving the case, Billie opens up about her past, revealing the “dark family secrets” of her mother, who was a grifter and used her and her sister to pull off cons. This ultimately made them outcasts in their small town. It’s a vulnerable moment that adds depth to Billie’s character and underscores the unexpected connection between her and Colter, showing that these two loners might have more in common than they ever realized.

Billie’s return in “The Grey Goose” highlights just how much her relationship with Colter has evolved. Her willingness to put herself in harm’s way — and Colter’s trust in her to handle it — speaks volumes about how far they’ve come. It’s also worth noting that Colter knows she’s in Boston, a detail she remarks on, hinting that he’s been keeping tabs on her.

“There’s a lot of feelings there.”

Before entering the prison, Billie meets withReenie (Fiona Rene), who poses as her lawyer. Initially frustrated that Colter isn’t there himself, Reenie explains that he stayed back to avoid blowing her cover. The scene is a fun moment, bringing together two tough womenwho are compelling characters in their own right, independent oftheir chemistry with Colter. Rather than clashing in a petty way, their interaction ends with mutual respect, as both acknowledge why Colter values the other. Once inside, Billie tries to maintain her cover, but she’s ultimately exposed. She’s attacked in the prison yard, forcing her to call on the one guard who knows her true identity to get to safety. Colter and Billie’s Relationship Takes a Turn in Season 2, Episode 15 of ‘Tracker’

In the final scene of “The Grey Goose,” Colter thanks Billie for risking her life, acknowledging that the favor may have been too much to ask. As he comforts her in the aftermath, their connection takes a pivotal turn, culminating in their first on-screen kiss. ThroughoutTracker, Colter has remained emotionally detached, often citing his unpredictable lifestyle as a reason to avoid intimacy. His brief connection with Camille Picket (Floriana Lima) was comfort than genuine attachment, making it clear that he wasn’t in the right place for something deeper.

Billie, however, is different.Sofia Pernas delivers a standout performance, making Billie feel like more than just a side character or potential love interest. She’s compelling in her own right and could easily fit intoTracker’s world regardless of her relationship with Colter. However, this episode makes a strong case that the two might belong together, or at least understand each other in a way few others can. Out of all of Billie’s appearances, this episode showcases the strongest chemistry between them, with her bravery and willingness to take risks for him making it harder for Colter to keep his walls up.

Their kiss isn’t just a romantic beat —it signals a potential shift in Colter’s character arc. If Billie remains in his life, she could challenge him to confront the emotions he’s long avoided, pushing him toward real personal growth. While it’s unclear if Pernas will return again this season,Tracker’s recent renewal for Season 3leaves plenty of room for Billie’s story to continue, and for Colter to turn to her for support as heunearths more of his own family secrets. Whether as an ally or something more, her presence challenges him in ways no one else does. The more they share the screen, the clearer it becomes that Billie should be sticking around.
