“It’s all connected” became a rallying chant for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the comic book movie giant had a rocky start in expanding to television.
After launchingAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.on ABC, the network set upAgent Carterthat ran for two seasons before cancellation, and multiple attempts to spin off their flagship series fell through. That was, shall we say, Phase 1. Then Marvel found a new niche in Hell’s Kitchen, thanks to an unprecedented partnership with Netflix that spawned the contained but still “all connected” world ofThe Defenders. Now, as heroes like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage continue to bolster viewers, the comic book giant has plenty more in the works.

With flags planted across numerous platforms, including Hulu and IMAX, a treasure trove of series have been touted at varying stages of development — and not all of them are set within the MCU. Here’s a complete list of everything Marvel has in the works…that we know about.

His family company has been taken over by the Meachums, who are hellbent on keeping Danny in the shadows. But he has a different plan: with a mastery of kung-fu and the ability to channel the fiery Iron Fist, he’s a living weapon prepared to fight against evil and corruption in the city. Familiar faces of theDefendersseries will pop up: Claire Temple (Dawson) is learning martial arts from Colleen Wing (Henwick), while lawyer Jeri Hogarth is an old friend of Danny’s and detective Misty Knight (Missick) returns after her encounter with Luke Cage in Harlem.

Marvel television head Jeph Loeb is producing this series, as part of an agreement with Fox. Bryan Singer, Lauren Schuler Donner, and Simon Kinberg of the X-Men films are on board as executive producers for a story that promises to connect with the larger franchise.Legioncenters on David Haller, a diagnosed schizophrenic who struggles to separate his hallucinations from reality in a psychiatric hospital. He soon realizes, however, that the visions he sees and voices he hears may not be an illness at all. He may just be the most powerful mutant the world has ever seen, and there’s a government agency looking to tap his abilities to their advantage. In the comics, David is the son of Professor Charles Xavier, and Hawley confirmed at New York Comic Con this will be impossible to ignore in the series.

The Defenders

Cast: Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, Sigourney Weaver, Rosario Dawson, Deborah Ann Woll, Simone Missick, Elden Henson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Rachael Taylor, Scott Glenn, Jessica Henwick, Elodie Yung
Plot details are still unknown about the Avengers-like eight-episode miniseries event on Netflix, but there are some clues. We know the heroes of New York will have to team up to fight a threat — to be played by Weaver — and many of the supporting characters surrounding each are coming along for the ride. Perhaps the most telling of them is the return of Elektra, whom was last seen being resurrected by The Hand in the hopes of fulfilling some nefarious prophecy. Considering The Hand continuously pops up, if only in name, throughout the various series, it seems like a safe bet they’ll return again. Plus,The Defendersis headed by Petrie and Ramirez fromDaredevil, which heavily featured the Man without Fear facing The Hand.

Network: ABC

Damage Control
Showrunner: Ben Karlin
Damage Controlhas been floated as another potential Marvel seriesfor a while now, so it’s unclear if it’ll ever see the light of day. But, for now, here’s what we now:Damage Controlwas meant to be Marvel’s first superhero comedy series about the people who have to clean up the messes left after superheroes come and save the day. According to a description from Variety, “They are the ones who are in charge of returning lost ray guns to their rightful owners, help to reschedule a wedding venue after it has been vaporized in a super hero battle or even track down a missing prize African parrot that’s been turned to stone or goo.” Karlin was developing the project in 2015 with executive producers Jeph Loeb and David Miner, though plans could’ve changed since.
